| Driving on a race circuit is very different to normal road driving. To make the most of the cars our customers will be driving on track you need to learn the ‘racing line’ and braking points. We use the brilliant Mazda3 MPS for these initial laps. One of the most powerful front-wheel drive hatchbacks on the market. Our ARDS qualified race instructors will demonstrate the racing lines and braking points plus other hints and tips to help you get the most from your driving experience. Out on track it may seem quite unfamiliar with no road marks or signs and no cars coming in the other direction, but after 3 laps watching and listening to your race instructor you’ll have built up a good idea of the circuit layout and be confident when you first get behind the wheel and head out on track. |

The latest Porsche Cayman is a genuine junior supercar. Similar in looks to the 911 but with a mid-engine layout, this new model has the larger 2.9-litre engine with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Out on track the car gives incredible feedback, allowing the driver to build in confidence and enjoy the increased power and incredible grip that the car generates. Nowhere else in the UK will you drive such an expensive and new car as your introduction to a driving experience. Lamborghini make crazy cars and the new LP670-4 SV is no exception. It's the last incarnation and most extreme version of the legendary supercar. Lighter, more powerful, faster and much more involving to drive than previous models. Visually the car is 'school boy poster' perfect with its huge rear wing and aggressive wedge nose, its looks like it will bite if you get too close. In the car with the scissor door shut, the sense of occasion is almost overwhelming. The dash lights up like a spaceship as the engine catches and bursts into life. On track the Lambo eats up the tarmac as you push the accelerator further. The car feels big, which it is, but it handles it size so well, pacing through the tighter corners and is eager through the fast sweep curves. This truly is a hypercar and with just a few delivered in the UK, a very rare sight. The Lamborghini LP670-4 SV is exclusive to Thruxton and wont be found at any other driving experience venue. |

The Ferrari 458 Italia is the latest supercar from Ferrari. They've applied all there technical knowhow from their F1 team and applied it to this car. The result is stunning. Seated in the drivers seat you feel embraced by the car, the dashboard surrounds you. The steering wheel could be straight from Alonso's F1 car, it controls: engine, suspension, traction, gearbox as well as delivering arguably the best steering feel of any supercar available. Out on track the car just gets better. Hit the throttle in any gear and the car takes off immediately. Once up to speed the car has so much grip. Jeremy Clarkson gave the best summary of the car: "The Ferrari 458 is one of the all time greats. It's really is absolutely, unbelievably, mesmerizingly brilliant" |

About the Italian Supercar Driving Experience
Lamborghini started making cars to rival those of Ferrari in the 1960's. Ever since their supercars have been compared to each otherevery time a new model is released. Now you can judge for yourself as you drive the two latest and best models Ferrari and Lamborghini produce.
Ferrari comes to the table with the 458 Italia, a V8 mid-engine rear wheel drive supercar with all of Ferrari's F1 knowhow. Lamborghini arrives with the ultra rare LP670 SV Murcielago.
Which will you prefer? Which car inspires the most confidence? Is the Ferrari more nibble than the Lamborghini? Does the Lambo's extra 101bhp advantage really tell? Which would you drive away in?
Before the two supercars is some time with our ARDS qualified race instructor who will take you out on track to help you learn the circuit in the Mazda3 MPS. The you'll drive the new Porsche Cayman. A cracking sports car in itself whcih will give you lots of confidence before you take the wheel of the Ferrari and Lamborghini.
